Forest Bathing – Mindfulness in Nature Walk
Sat, 14 June 2025 @ 10:00 - 12:30

Relax and restore in beautiful woodland surroundings by learning to practise natural mindfulness. Woodland themed tea, and snacks, included. Rediscover the woods and yourself.
Join Danielle, a trained forest bathing or ‘shinrin-yoku’ guide, for a rejuvenating experience at the Burgie Arboretum Woodland Garden. This guided walk is an opportunity to experience forest bathing, and engage with gentle guided sensory prompts to open the senses and relax the body and mind. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and recharge your spirit. A woodland tea and simple snack is included.
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing is an evidence based nature connection practice with ancient roots. It originated in Japan in the 80s. Each session is designed to help us relax deeply into the present moment and connect to ourselves and our surroundings – maybe in a new way. Connecting to nature in this way is proven to lower stress hormones and reduce stress and anxiety. The perfect antidote to a busy week!
Participants report feeling relaxed, creatively stimulated and inspired, and not able to walk in the woods in the same way again…
Led by trained Forest Bathing guide and local therapist Danielle Quist.
